SOLO – Porto Helsinki Sound Promenade Project

indoorsTwo cities overlap. Two geographies breathe into one another. Porto meets Helsinki, on the map, in sound.

ABOUT

A coastline dissolves into a tram line. A seagull’s cry folds into the hum of an underground tunnel. Layers of place pile up, drift, and blur until they become music.

SOLO – Porto Helsinki Sound Promenade Project is a concert-installation where sound, cartography, and memory converge. Projected maps of Porto and Helsinki overlap into a shifting visual score, while a live performance with percussion, prepared bass drum, and electronics reconstructs soundscapes gathered in both cities. Out of these textures, composed songs emerge, creating an experience that oscillates between a concert, a soundwalk, and an imaginary geography.

The work invites audiences to listen across distance and time — to inhabit two cities at once, carried not by footsteps, but by resonance.

“Every sound is a trace. Every city is a score.”
