Founded in 1997 and based in Helsinki, Circus Maximus ry has a broad reach across the performing arts and constantly stretches the boundaries of the genre.

Membership is open to all professional artists with an interest in live art and performance.As a member, you have the opportunity to contribute to the association's activities with the amount of your choice and can also nominate yourself for a position on its board. The election for the association's board takes place during the annual meeting, typically held in April.
